Fuck this. I really don’t think many of them ENJOY doing that. I’m sure that’s a horrific and traumatic experience more often than not. I’m sure it’s not very easy to kill another human when you actual have to do so and I bet it’s no better when they’re a child, armed or unarmed.
Fuck this so much and for tainting this image.
This is so disgusting.
Vilifying people who are sent over seas, so that when they come back and are probably internally changed forever and then criticized for whatever their orders were—fuck you!nazi officers were just following their orders too, lol
p.s. no one HAS to kill anybody. everyone in the military signed up, knowing full well what military service entails.
I don’t really think anybody enlisting has a near close idea to what it is actually like and I’m not even going to acknowledge the Nazi comparison.
I don’t know if I entirely think that if you’re at the bottom of the chain that you deserve ridicule.
They didn’t personally make the decisions I have a problem with, so I’m not going to persecute them over it.
I don’t know anything about them or why they’re where they are or why, but they’re not calling the shots, so attacking them isn’t going to change anything I have a fundamental problem with..
And p.s. no one *HAS* to do anything, that comment doesn’t say anything to me, tbh.they sign up to kill people. that’s not enough to deserve something as tame as ridicule? and why won’t you acknowledge the nazi comparison? because she’s an AMERICAN “hero”? because AMERICAN orders are unwavering in their righteousness? orders from fat cats in capitol hill don’t amount to shit if there’s no one there to carry them out. you have an incredibly naive understanding of this, so shut up before you embarrass yourself any further.
No, because one of my very close friends in a Marine and I know he didn’t expect combat to be anything like the way it was. Yes, he was aware that killing people was going to be involved, but it wasn’t what he expected.
And the Nazi thing means nothing to me. I don’t think they all necessarily liked it either, I don’t know their lives. They had to live with themselves and with what they did. It’s not the topic of discussion and I don’t find it pertinent.
And who the fuck are you?
I didn’t claim to have factual knowledge, I just fail to believe in making assumptions like these does anything efficacious.
I don’t think every American troop is god-like or even a good person, I do think they’ve seen and done awful things and because they’re a human, I feel whatever psychological damage they incur.
I feel the same way about “enemy” troops.
I don’t really care.
Just like I don’t care about you more than replying.
Just like I don’t care what anybody who reads things I say and thinks about me.
Because at the end of the day, who the fuck are you and you probably will not be involved with anything that actually matters in my life. Maybe you will. I won’t know and I really won’t care.
“Yes, he was aware that killing people was going to be involved, but it wasn’t what he expected.”
i’m just gonna leave that there.
get a little more raged because your infantile grasp of life is being challenged. your friend is a piece of garbage. military aggression is never justified.
